I forgot that navy units next to bridges can be attacked from the bridge. I had to use my hero and dragon from farpoint 61 to take out the white elemental stack. It could reach both of my corner cities and could combine with fly units. I would have lost both of my corner cities to white. Besides, with his cancel hero, and my devil absent, he would have just killed my hero. I played with the idea of razing the city, but decided that raising defense and leaving spiders there would be enough deterant for white not to take the city, especially with your hero stack in the center. Alliances are a funny thing and extremely hard to get started. Of course the bordering sides of an alliance offer the easiest route of expansion. I spent (not wasted) basically three turns moving all my material away from the red border. It would have been a lot easier for me to stay around the center on turn 6 or even, as you would put it, take the oppertunity and take out some red griffins and a city. Instead, I got my dragon and moved it back North. The form of governing by alliance is a choice that will pay of for both Red and Yellow. The main objective here is to advance to the next rounds. You don't have to 'win' but you can not afford to do bad in any round. An alliance will greatly enhance Lord Garlic and my own chances to advance. To ability to compromise, keep your promises and work together are indeed attributes of a true Warlord. Time will tell. LORD GARLIC, I'll wait for your message. Just to give you a heads up. Glad your still with us. Makes the game more interesting and fun. Hang in there, strange things can happen. TO ALL, To move heroes quickly. Use the fly item. To move quicker, team up with navy and fly unit accross open ocean (no fly item). For added fun. Select a stack with hero with fly item, flying unit and navy. The stack is flying (of course). Drop the fly item (stack is still flying). Deselect and reselect the stack (no longer flying). Pick up the fly item. (stack is NOT flying). You now have one move were you can go accross ocean with movement rate of one while carying (but not using) a fly item. You can repeat the trick at any shore and have a hero show up far further than expected if your opponent just selects the stack and moves it. What is realy surprising is to move fast accross ocean to the other shore. At the end of the move you become flying again. Fly to the next shore. Repeat the drop, deselect, select, pickup and save some more movement points accross the next river of ocean. If you need one or two extra movement points, this can realy surprise someone. Stack fly status is only recalculated when you select or change the stack. This also means you can have multiple flying heroes with a single fly item! To move realy quickly, or transfer land units at ocean speeds, there are some other tricks available. I'll share this info with my true ally/allies on turn 20. LORD GARLIC, My word is good.
