All the gold is now in strongholds; revert until you get less than 2500. We recommend reverting to get between 2400 and 2500. The lone scout that secured the city by himself is given leave for his bravery and sent back to his family at home. With this Bradley sets up his command post and then departs for the city of Paris. He easily dispatches the defending scout and then discards the cities existing debilitated production facilities. He then orders his engineers to put new production capacity into both of the new Overlord cities. General Bradley then finds a room in Paris and has a rest while he ponders his current situation. His head is spinning from the swiftness of his current command. Just a week ago Bradley was in Operation Overlord command headquarters reading the reports of the great campaign of General Patton in the continent of P37. Bradley was shocked twice last week when the Great Patton disobeyed direct orders to cease the attack on Warlord Brody when he almost dispatched all of Brody's armies into oblivion. With that Patton received orders on turn 11 to get back to headquarters to answer for his actions. On his way, the jeep Patton was riding in was in a fluke accident in which the general was killed. Shock and dismay was rampant in the lands of Operation Overlord with the news reports of this tragedy coming out of the history of P37. Overlord headquarters scrambled and a 37 hour meeting of the Chiefs of Staff produced the orders to send General Bradley to the upcoming campaign on the continent of A33. They have also decided to send the Supreme Commander General MacArthur into the battle theater on turn two to assist him. He will have with him the first set of battle plans after the initial scouting reports of the other Warlords on the continent come in, as well as one of Operation Overlords elite fighting units. In a moment, scurrying rat was firmly grasped in his right forepaw. Stalker ate and then he smiled. He has been on a free hunt for a week already, far from the lands claimed by his tribe on a planet Sarraksh. He felt that his perception of the world outside was as sharp as never before. He wondered if it was due to an unusually high level of radiation he was noticing lately. But Stalker didn't care. Everywhere were sparkling pieces of metal, the purpose of which he couldn't even start to fathom. But of course this was the Zone. He crested a hill and suddenly saw a shimmering wall, suspended in midair a couple of feet from the ground. Taking up the challenge, Stalker jumped through... So, his majesty expressed his desire to spend the money on exploration of neighborhood castles. Large expedition wouldn't be needed, King stated, Stalker agreed to go, and he alone is worth any army. I got one in the city I wanted for a reasonable sum of money and a descent ally after about 10 minutes of reverting. I saved it and then played the file and saved over top of the previously saved file. This was a HUGE mistake because it turned out that I wanted to change the way I played my turn but I had already saved over the beginning file. I had to start reverting again to get back to where I was. It took me another 45 minutes of reverting before I got a hero in the city I wanted for a reasonable sum of gold. I ended up just taking whatever ally came with it as I was really perturbed with myself by this time. What I would suggest is that when you get the hero and everything else is acceptable, that you save the game twice. Once as NEWHERO.SAV and then immediately as whatever you would normally save it as. This would have saved me a lot of time and frustration (not to mention swearing). -------------------------------------------------------------- The citizens of the city of Paris are excited as today is the day the Chief Commander of Operation Overlord, General MacArthur, is due to arrive. He does so with great flare and pageantry as his caravan of armored vehicles makes its way down the narrow streets of this parisian town. With the five star general is a fearsome looking beast wearing an Overlord uniform. This imposing soldier turns out to be an Elemental, a member of the elite Overlord Intelligence Service (OIS). With the massive greeting and outpour of love coming from the parisian citizens, MacArthur is almost overwhelmed. He proceeds to the temporary Overlord battle headquarters tent set up by his fellow general Bradley and holds a meeting with his field commander. They discuss the initial plans laid out by the Overlord Chiefs of Staff and then raise a glass of brandy in salute to the upcoming battle. Many things are explored and four plans of attack are worked on for the liberation of the great continent of A33. The plans are contingent on the information and reconnaissance that is at this moment pouring into General MacArthur. With tactics discussed and plans laid out, General Bradley departs for the city of London. When he arrives he finds the lone defending scout sleeping at his post. General Bradley (unlike General MacArthur) is a kind hearted, get down to business type of individual. Upon finding the defending scout asleep, Bradley is disgusted at the soldiers apparent lack of commitment to duty. Athough General Bradley feels like slaughtering the scout in his sleep he wakes the soldier and allows him to say his goodbyes to his family before making the scout take his own life, thereby allowing him to keep some honour. General MacArthur begins his campaign by looking through the forests around Paris. He has been told that there are great soldiers in these forests and he may be able to recruit some of them. After a while MacArthur finds the Lair of Luther and enters it. Here he is welcomed by two Devils that have heard of the great things that Operation Overlord has done. Both of the Devils express their interest at joining the Overlord cause. MacArthur takes them up on their offer and begins training them. It is not long before MacArthur realizes the power and skill of these fine Devils. MacArthur is so impressed that he feels he will only need the services of one of the Devils and tells the other one to go back to his lair as he may be needed on future battle fields. The remaining Devil is then given a promotion and is commissioned into the elite OIS. With this, both members of the OIS on this continent are sent out to gather intelligence and support from the local citizens. The Elemental travels through the south eastern Overlord territory and comes across the city of Olympia. This city is all but deserted and as the Elemental enters the city he is pelted by rocks from a scout standing in a guard tower. The Elemental takes a quick look around the city and finds that the scout is the only one there. The Elemental proceeds to get his chainsaw out of his humvee and cuts the supports on the guard tower. With the cutting of the last support the tower creeks and falls to the ground with a loud bang. The scout is killed immediately as his head hit the bumper of the humvee. On the other side, a swift Light Cavalry regiment speeds to the city of Sparta trampling the lone scout defending it. -------------------------------------------------------------- OPERATION OVERLORD IS ENTERTAING ANYONES DESIRE TO CREATE AN ALLIANCE IN THIS GAME. Since The Omnipotent-B (Blue) did not respond to my request for alliance proposals, I will assume that the Omnipotent one is not inclined to ally with the Orange Overlord. I acknowledge and appreciate the proposal from Kalten but an alliance with you will dictate an alliance between Blue and White which puts all of us in a two front battle which I am not looking for at this time. With this I will respond to Sir Uriah's request for an ally. Your initial conditions for an alliance are acceptable and fair, I would like to add that if there is an alliance between the two of us that we can only have at the most 3 armies in our border cities. It turns out to be Bob Heeters Bar and it appears to be open. Bradley turns his jeep into the driveway of the bar and speeds towards it. As he comes to the end of the lane and the bar is in sight, he sees a huge pothole. He tries to swerve to miss it but ends up hitting it in the deepest part of the hole. General Bradley is sent flying out of the jeep and lands on the roof of the bar. He lays there for some time before brushing himself off and getting to his feet. As he looks around the roof for a way down he stumbles across a pair of boots. He picks them up and they appear to be from a time many decades ago. He dusts them off and notices an insignia which says Jump of Lewis. Bradley puts the boots on and goes to the edge of the roof to jump down to the ground. Bradley leeps and instead of falling to the ground he begins to fly. He is so shocked by this that he heads down to the ground and grabs the hand of the Devil accompaning him. They both rise and General Bradley realizes that all of the armies fighting by his side will be able to fly wherever the great general wishes to go. With this he decides to fly over a lake just to put a little fear into the heart of the Devil because we all know that Devil's can not swim. East of this action the other great Overlord commander General MacArthur stops off at Hulseman's Keep. He eats a hearty meal and as he is leaving he buckles over in agony. It appears he has eaten some spoiled food. The worst part of the story is that when MacArthur doubled over he was poked by a sharp object in his side. He pulls the object out and finds that it is Hercules Spear. MacArthur begins to smile as he knows that the pain he is going through now will dissipate but the devastation that this new weapon will cause his foes will go on and on and on! MacArthur decides to try his new spear out and heads down to Amsterdam to put an end to the current life style in that city. He lops the head of the defender off and then kills any production abilities. He then institutes the production of spiders as he knows that eight legged furry creatures cause "bad trips" for many which will prevent any uprisings from rowdy residents of this notorious city. With this MacArthur settles down for a long night in the washroom getting over his spoiled food. On the forward flanks of Operation Overlord an Elemental, the trusty new member of the OIS, battles the neutral defending forces of the cities of Rome and Seoul. It easily dispatches both of these forces and claims these cities in the name of the great dead General Patton from the land of P37. The Elemental is ordered to build Heavy Infantry in Rome and Dwarves in Seoul. Elsewhere a Light Cav. scales Mt. Everest and tramples the villagers inside.
