__________ __________/ \__________ <__________ Turn 1 __________> \__________/ _______________________________________________________________________________ The following message was sent on Monday October 06, 1997 at 04:20 PM EDT by Ivan Baird to all players; Hi All, At about 7:30 this morning, I got my poor sick son out of bed (he was sick enough that he didn't go to school today, anyway....), had him press a few buttons, and just like that - Round A was officially begun!!! ;-) The following message is from Tournament Headquarters, and contains VERY important information for this Round! Read it!!! There have been some slight changes to the Rules in certain areas such as gold, heros, allies, and the most important - you are now eligable to win prizes!!! (Note, your second hero may come with ONLY ONE (1) ally.... A 'noarchive' message will follow this one containing the starting gamefile.... Read this message carefully - it contains a lot of essential information! *** Critical Scenario and Rules Changes from the Practice Round *** * Starting Gold: 4200/side * Razing: On Capture only * Round A games will last for 20 turns! * New Gold Rules: The gold limit for Strongholds is now 2500. All the gold is now in strongholds; revert until you get less than 2500. We recommend reverting to get between 2400 and 2500. (The odds of getting between 2400 and 2500 are about 10%, so this takes less reverting than trying to get near 3600!) * Special Builds: The center cities all build griffins! Sack 'em for cash - or build 'em! Note - griffins defending neutral cities are strength 8 (6+2). The neutral cities are set to "active" in the tournament. * New Rule: Two Heroes! You are allowed (and expected!) to revert and get a second hero on Turn 2. *** If you want a second hero, it MUST come ONLY on Turn 2. *** The second hero can come with *any* ally you choose in *any* city you control. You may not replace any dead heroes until *both* heroes are dead. Then the regular hero-replacement rules apply. (Note that once you lose a hero you cannot have more than one hero on the map.) Ask your Moderator or Headquarters for details. The starting gold has been increased to allow the purchase of the second hero. You must report the cost of the second hero and he/she must cost at least 1000 gold. * New Rule: Limited Allies with Replacement Heroes: After Turn 2, all replacement heroes may only come with wizards, ghosts, elementals, or worms. Archons, Demons, Dragons, and Devils are not allowed with replacement heroes - you can only get them from ruins or with your Turn 2 second hero. Warlord, use thy allies wisely! :) * Holidays: The U.S. Thanksgiving Weekend in late November and the midwinter holidays (from December 20 to January 7) will be official "Tournament Holidays". Time limits will not be enforced during those periods, and players do not need to worry about using up vacation time then, although we hope the games will all continue! We expect some games to finish before Christmas, and the rest in January and February. Round B will begin in mid-January after the winter holidays end! More timeouts will be supplied to all Round A players when Round B begins. *** Prizes for Round A *** The four Warlords who write the most entertaining game history will each receive a prize from SSG. The one Warlord who writes the best individual roleplay will also receive a prize from SSG. The awarding of both prizes will be determined after the round ends by a team of moderators (who will exclude themselves from recieving prizes). -- Ivan Baird, CET Deitech Computing Member of the Warlords II World Tournament Organizers Team.... Uncle Adolf has been waiting a long time to put his whole plan into effect. Crowds of spectators have travelled all over the world, usually from the bathroom or bedroom to the couch, to enjoy the Olympics. Sitting on all these couches, all across the world, I am sure you will agree that this is a perfect example of what was meant by the "Unwashed Masses". Back on Olympic Island, more and more spectators have been gathering around The Couch in the southeast. Suddenly, from amongst the unwashed masses, arises the great Unwashed Mass himself! Instantly recognizing their chosen leader, the spectators let out a tremendous cheer! We are ready for battle! But first, maybe a hot dog. Fortunately, an entire pack of boy scouts has kindly volunteered to peddle hot dogs at the exciting but sometimes volatile Olympic Games. Approaching a scout and grunting his desire for a double size foot long chili cheese dog, Unwashed Mass licks his lips in anticipation. The poor scout, however, only had single size and triple size, no double size. Also, even the single size was $99.95!! As everyone knows, nothing is more dangerous than an overcharged and hungry spectator. Gnashing his teeth and desperately searching for acceptable sustenance, Unwashed Mass consumed the poor scout right there on the spot. He regretted later but better not to go into the details of that. A few hours and a couple ex-lax later, Unwashed Mass meanders off towards the northeast. Noting the amazing proliferation of griffons, Unwashed Mass requests an umbrella from one of his loyal spectators, "just in case". Reaching the city of C. d'Ampezzo, Unwashed Mass immediately ordered the execution of all boy scouts in the city. (This act of cruelty was inspired by the painful feeling still lingering in his stomache). Current trends do not bode well for the boy scouts! Many of the boy scouts, who had been hiding up to this point, realized that they had better change their toon. Hiding their boy scout uniforms, and rolling around in the dirt to disguies their clean and wholesome habbits, they bravely ventured out into the crowds. Spying some of these urchins, Unwashed Mass mistook them for evil dwarfs! Unwashed Mass was always moved by that movie.. what was it called again? Oh, snow white and the seven evil dwarfs. The evil dwarfs are immediately commissioned as the official defenders of the Couch and C. d'Ampezzo!! Unwashed mass surveys the terrain. Truly the battle is shaping up in interesting ways. Unwashed Mass eyes the hatchling griffons warilly and ponders his next move. More Food! Free Beer! If we didn't see it, it didn't happen! Desperation in his eyes, he spies an abandoned Cenotaph and squats down behind it to "do his thing". Pausing to survey his handiwork, Unwashed Mass steps back in horror, for instead of the rank but satisfying view he was expecting, there were TWO GIANT WORMS!!! This could have been the end of our uncleanly hero, but fortunately, the worms were so greatful for the continuous stream of ofal sent their way by their "host", that they have pledged eternal allegiance to our cause! Cackling with glee at this unexpected turn of events, Unwashed Mass sends them out to "infiltrate" nearby neutral cities!! Meanwhile, back at The Couch the unwashed masses have announced a new hero! They decided to try democracy this time, and the only name that got more than one vote was "John Doe". Immediately, "John Doe" was promoted to leadership! Although a little cadavarous, John Doe basically fit in pretty well. For some reason I am not creative enough to explain, John Doe brought a dragon with him! Shouting with glee, John Doe and the Dragon (his name was Puff) set out to wreak mayhem! John Doe heads straight for Auberts Crypt and recovers the TV Rights! Yes! TV for all! I sent you the wrong file when I sent turn #2. I was supposed to have a hero with a wizard, but the turn 3 I received, it showed that I had a dragon. This turn was a different turn I had experimented with, but had decided not to keep. I thought I saved the newer game file, but I guess not. So I will live with my mistake. I couldn't ask you to do anything since it was clearly my fault. All I ask is a little patience with the turn reports. Thanks On another note, I want to ask the Athletes to join me in a non-aggression pact, for now. The Allied Forces Snicker and carry on with their plan for World Domination! They Start off their Day with Sir Churchill heading off to the Ruin known as the Barrows of Bruce, He unlocks the Door to the Ruin and Four Elementals Burst out to join him. Two of the Elementals tremble in Fear of the Mighty Warlord, He finds this Flattering but realizes that they are not fit to be a part of this Ultimate fighting Machine. So without a second thought, He Crushes the Two Elementals with his Bare Hands, The other Two Elementals bow before their new found leader and are overjoyed with the thought of being associated with such an Awesome Force. As part of their Christening to the Army, Sir Churchill sends the Two Elementals off on their separate ways to build the Empire. The First Elemental heads off to the City of Beijing, Where he Sacrifices a Scout Guard and pillages the City of it's Worthless and weak production. He is then instructed to put into effect production of Light Cavalier. The other Elemental Head off to the North where he finds the City of Barcelona, He (like his fellow Elemental) Crushes the Scout Guard and pillages the city of it's production Capabilities. He on the other hand is ordered to produce Giant Bats, Which he does immediately and without prejudice. Another Elemental who joined Sir Churchill on the Second turn as his Ally, Heads off even further off to the north, He comes across the city of Montreal where he finds a Scout sleeping at it's guard post, He finds this to be extremely appalling and devours the Scout, He finds himself so disgusted with this unit of Scouts that he pillages the City and builds a much more honorable Army known as a Heavy Infantry. He finds that his thirst for Blood has just been intensified with the devouring off the Scout at Montreal, So he ravages around until he comes upon a Village known as Mexico City. He finds another Scout which he once again Devours, He finds himself feeling rather satisfied but still pillages the cities production. Orders come down from Uncle Adolf to build a new unit, the new unit of Armies will be a Heavy Infantry, The Armies of The Allied Forces cheer as they have found this army set to be a formidable group! All Units of Elementals are then orders to rest and await the new Orders as they have all been commended upon the Inevitable Success that they all had in completing their missions! For the next orders, The Two Heroes decide that it is time for a WolfRider to contribute to the battle so they call upon a lone unit of WolfRider to head out to the city of Chamonix. The WolfRider wastes no time and finds himself in a battle with the Scout standing guard outside the City. He disposes of the weak scout and pillages the city while incorporating a new production of Light Infantry. He rests as he also has passed the test set out for him by theses great Leaders. Sir Churchill and Uncle Adolf look about the Battle field and seem quite pleased with the progress, But "WAIT", Yells Uncle Adolf, "What is that Devil doing over there?" Oops, Just about forgot about him......... Uncle Adolf commands the Devil to take the city of Nagano, and to do it with a great deal of Pain to the Scout Production for the whole world to see what happens to those that stand in the way of the Allied Powers. The Devil does so and the Screams can be heard echoing throughout the Kingdom! The Devil then pillages the city of it's scout production and Builds heavy Infantry. He rests and awaits new orders. The two Mighty Leaders once again look over the Battle Field and now find themselves completely satisfied with the results of today's Battles. As everyone knows, both Hitler AND Churchill are fiercly anti proletarian, so this could get ugly very soon. Unwashed Mass makes the pronouncement: Step over the the east west dividing line and we are at war, dear Reporters. To the north, things are more confusing. The Organizers have taken a more or less defensive strategy in a game that rewards offense. Oh well. The Athletes are a little more outgoing, and as a matter of fact, look like they are aiming for the south! Ouch! Athletes: Attack my juicy tempting blue cities and leave no doubt retribution will be fierce! (although maybe not swift...) The masses have convened a congress and after much bickering and debate, with little progress, a petition is forwarded to our northwestern (White) diplomat. Seeing as how we both share a border with the *very* *scary* green armies of the southeast, who are even as we speak munching on your southern cities, Perhaps we should concentrate on that fellow, rather than each other, especially since we are so far away from each other. Specifically, I will promise to not attack any of your armies or cities up until and through turn 9 if you will promise the same for me. As for making alliances with the fellow to the east of you, do so if you wish, however, consider the following. He is almost certainly going to have to fight with me in the south of his territory. This will divert some of his strength away from you. If you choose to press an attack, you may be able to expand so that by the time I make my way through his territory you will be better able to defend against me. On the other hand, if you do not attack him, he will still have to maintain armies there to defend against a possible betrayal (not that you would, but how can anyone ever be sure?), and I will likely not find the going much more difficult than I otherwise would and you would be in a worse position when I was done. Obviously, I hope you will attack, since that will insure that only half his resources can be spent defending me, but I hope my argument is convincing in any case. As to your south, I know you will defend as best you can, but things look pretty grim over there from where I stand! But don't worry about Blue's full force against you... The Proletarian Masses will certainly not stand by while Hitler and Churchill roll across the countryside!!! Oh, the minor details. Leichenbestatter, you need not to speak as if I have refused you. I think, diplomacy is only a transparrent cover of your aggressive compulsions. Your weak ego needs a good lesson and that painfull lesson will be given by me with great pleasure. I do not want any of you to consider me as a sadist but the thing is, sometimes doctors break an arm to rejoin its bone properly. Well, as Nietzche puts it: "That which does not kill, makes us stronger." :) Now, here are some facts you were unable to calculate before attacking me with a fool's courage: As a 'self declared' experrienced PBM player, you should very well know that, in effect, we are not compeeting with each other but with the players of the same colors. Consequently, your real opponents are the other Organizers in the tournament. When this is the case, the aim of each round becomes city and army maximization. The ones who complete each round with a score over the average of their own colors are the real winners. So far, you might say that thre is nothing new or interesting in this storry. Well then, here comes the heart-breaking part: As a supposedly rational player, after your attack, I am expected to concentrate my play and try to deffend my 'hinterland' in an appropriate ballance of power, to prevent being sqeezed like a sandwich. Well then, shall I act rationally? Ahh, my poor Lord, the answer is: No! :) I will act just like a dangerous, 'wounded animal'. Oh dear, oh dear... Am I a lunatic or what? Why should I act emotionally and sucrifice myself just to maximize Leichenbestatter's losses. After all, I am not compeeting with him but the other Athleets... Even if I succed in my 'wounded animal' strategy, this will hurt Leichenbestatter quite a bit (I hope) and enhance only the Greens' as well as the Blues' play. As a matter of fact, I will be the biggest looser. Everybody knows that a wounded animal is sooner or later killed after it hits back the 'hunter'. What is all this suicidal revange plan? Did I enter this tournament to test my strategic skills and win fame (prices are for children, you know) or to act like a 'kamikaze' and become notorious dead man? Allright, allright... I wiil not prolong these rethotical questions any more. For, I do not want to win an unintended 'role play' price by entertaining our honourable moderators. :) Leichenbestatter, I hope you are still with me, cause the best part of the tail comes last: I am not irrational at all (thanks to my psychoanalysis education). It is just the simple and lovely fact that I am playing 2 round A games!!! That is to say, I have the luxery to 'ruin' this game of mine, just to teach you some manners. In my other game, I will play for a good score and in this one, to make life harder for you, as much as possible. Tell me, how do you feel about it. Now, I almost hear you saying "I didn't know about this. So, what I did can not be considered as a moral crime or miscalculation." Well, you are right but ignorance is never an execuse, you see. In game theory, you should be more sceptical in conjecturing the rivals' moves when there is lack of information. After all, life is most of the time unjust to many of us. It's, it's a 'crying game', isn't it? :) Hence, I will give you one more chance. For, you may not be playing an other round A game as I do. If you retreat 'graciously' and immdediately as well as begging for mercy in your next diplomacy message, I will not realize my 'wounded animal' plan. Otherwise, a supposedly good player like you may be the 'victim' of a lucky guy. Till the next turn, farewell warlords... Greetings Warlord, I have just read what you have written in your latest diplomacy message and found its content reasonfull. As you would notice from the storry over my turn report, I have the psychological as well as tactical flexibility in this Roun A game which most others don't. So, I might love to join my forces with yours against The Whites, not for need but for great fun and pleasure. This will certainly improve your situation which will also be entertaining to see. After all, as the lyrics goes, "If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad." :) My humble heroes are also on their way to punish the pathetic aggressors. Remember Napoleon saying, "Money, money, money."? I wonder how Leichenbestatter will feel when he will be playing the good old "Le Miserable" through the preceeding tours of the game. The Blues, on the other hand, if they insist staying in my 'hinterland', will become an unforgetable feast for my 'natural would-be born killers' namely, Wisards. :) Well, I am honoured by your offer. Soon, you will see that the Omnipotent is not the weak worrior in need of help but the strongerst enemy, the worst nightmare for those who are unable to control their blood thirst. For, I have nothing to loose even if I act like a Kamikaze in this game. Hence, you intutively chouse the best possible partner. Congratulations. :) If you want any special moves, please do not hesitate to ask... That is cowardly and craven. I am not sure if this is even legal, and have forwarded this question to the moderator. In any case, your arguing betrays your fear. My ally in the northwest doesn't seem to be concerned by you, and neither am I. As for the Wizards... I swear to you, they will never join your cause. The last thing I would like to say is that it is certainly a good thing that you are playing in two games. Just try to be more careful in the other one than in this one. Good luck in your other game since you will shortly be eliminated in this one. If you don't know what I mean, just wait for my turn report to roll around. Nomad, wishing ruthless warlords could be just a little more civil. _______________________________________________________________________________ The following message was sent on Thursday October 23, 1997 at 12:05 PM EDT by Bruce Wayne to all players; This is a diplomatic message. (with a little sarcasm) ;-) To the Athletes. As an historian by profession (currently working on my Ph.D) I am familiar with many theories of psycho-history and psychoanalysis. In fact, I find most theories which venture to explain WAR fall short when they are faced with the cold hard facts! The cold hard facts in this case are, my analytical and theoretical friend, that you must not have checked your kamikaze hero's position very well before you sent him off on a death march into my lands. You will realize this when you receive the next turn message. Also, intimidation works SOMETIMES when your opponent is not aware of exactly how strong your forces are, or what their capabilities might be. In this case however, myself being an experienced PBEM player, I am completely aware what you can and cannot do. And the cold hard facts are: WITH THE HELP OF BLUE, YOU WILL NOT LAST PAST TURN 9. Following in the footsteps of my adversary green, I quote one of my good friends and tournament organizers, Barry Brook. He happens to be an avid 'Star Wars' fan and often quotes the great lines of those movies. In 'Return of the Jedi' the mighty emperor says to a helpless Luke Skywalker - and you should apply this to yourself - "and now young Skywalker (athletes), you will die." Best wishes and Aufwiedersehen. :-) _______________________________________________________________________________ The following message was sent on Thursday October 23, 1997 at 09:48 PM EDT by Ivan Baird to all players; Well, I must admit that Kerem's message, and the various replies has produced some discussion between myself, Tournament Headquarters, and Gary Best (one of the Rules Gurus).... The basic results are summarized near the end of this note, but here are some exerpts from this discussion that brings up many relavent points.... - initial reactions were that Kerem was 'out of line!' - Kerem is one of the 'gung-ho' players and has put a lot of thought into the Tournament; so while we may not like this turn of events we should also avoid overreacting!!! - the possibility that this message was deliberately role-playing has been discussed (and I personally know of at least one situation which MAY support this); however, he may not have realized that he was 'overdoing' it with this message.... - there are not, at present, any Tournament *Rules* which state that "you can't do that!" However, please note: from Bob: "there are a number of places in the rules where the interpretation is pretty clear-cut that what Kerem is doing should be considered against the rules." "....Kerem's attitude is not consistent with the Olympian's Oath or the 1st Commandment (in the Ten Commandments which all players received, and which are in the rules on the Web): $ The Olympian's Oath: "In the name of all competitors I promise that we will $ take part in these Games, respecting and abiding by the rules which $ govern them, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, for the glory of $ sport and the honor of our teams." - Pierre de Coubertin, father $ of the modern Olympics I think nearly all Warlords would consider it unsportsmanlike - bad conduct - to deliberately "ruin" your own chances in a game just to carry out a personal vendetta against someone else. $ 1. Thou Shalt Play With Honor: The essential thing is not to conquer $ but to fight well and have fun. Thou shalt finish any game thy starteth. $ Thou shalt fight for thine own honor, and fight to the end. $ He who dishonors himself shall be publicized, remembered, and $ punished in future Warlords activities! Deliberately ruining a game, or not playing for a good score, is not "fighting for your own honor, and fighting to the end". Kerem does not seem to be following the 1st Commandment of the tournament very well. The (unwritten) expectation of the tournament organizers is that all games will be played separately, with no reference to other games, especially not other games in the same round. We also expect that all players will play their best in all their games. If Kerem is actually going to abuse his position as a substitute and not play both of his games in earnest, we will be very disappointed with him. He was (randomly) given a *privilege* in being allowed to play two games, and we expect him to play both games as well as he can, and do what he can to make both games enjoyable for everyone. This connects to one of the important points at the beginning of the rules, the Olympic Creed: "...The essential thing is not to have conquered, but to have fought well." If a player says "ah, I don't need to fight well in this game, I have the other one", that's clearly against the Creed and a violation of the rules. The Olympic Creed is so important that we put it in the "Prepare Thyself" section which everyone should have read before they even registered. In other words: You should always play your best, and play with honor. Also, in main body of the rules (on winning the tournament) is the paragraph: >Thus, you will fight against other players in your game, but your real >objective is to play your color better than anyone plays that color >in the other games. Kerem clearly remembers this, but he seems to have forgotten the next line: >But you won't know how those other games are going >until they finish, so you'd better play your best!" This applies also to Kerem's position as a sub: he doesn't know how his other game is going to finish either - 20 turns is a LONG time on a map this size, with units this fast - and he might find himself surviving this game while being wiped out in his other game. [ It's very possible to get off to a great start, then make lots of enemies in a hurry, and find oneself destroyed by the end of the game. Two very good examples are White in Duel2 and Yellow in Shades of Hadesha. It's also possible to get off to a terrible start, lose a hero, and still win a game, as Blue showed in Duel2 and Orange showed in Shades of Hadesha. ] If Kerem ruins this game, he throws away 50% of his chances for doing well this round. That violates the "always play your best" part of the rule. He will also make serious enemies of the other players. And his future opponents will make judgements about him based on their reading of the history of this game, so he may not want to be too antagonistic... I'd also like to add a direct quote from Kerem's own Turn 3 Turn Report: >For, I believe, this is >a game of honour and I like to play it with honourable people. I do not see the honour of this course of action!!! In fact, if I were a Klingon, I would almost consider this the actions of a 'Pitoch!' (While the spelling may be wrong, the general meaning is 'one without Honour!) -further discussion noted that the mentioning of another game during the Round was indeed a 'direct' violation of the Rules; a Rules violation should be assessed! - it was also discussed as to whether a Rules Violation should be assessed for breaking the *Spirit* of the Rules.... Alright, alright - enough on what we had discussed.... Here's what I am doing, as Moderator (if Kerem or anyone else would like to protest this, see the 'Protest Guidelines' below....): 1) Kerem will be assessed One (1) Rules Violation for discussing another game in the same Round during a Diplomatic message. This Violation will follow him for the duration of the Tournament, but will not hinder his chances of winning either the Tournament or any Prizes - unless he goes much further and gains enough Rules Violations to have him declared out of the Tournament.... 2) I am going to ask that the discussion of this matter be closed! I think by now that everyone has pretty much used up their Diplomatic Messages in the discussions anyway, but I personally do not have time to continue reading these messages for more possibilities of Rules Violations! ;-) This is not to say that the matter is forbidden or taboo, just to refrain from lengthy 'forays' into the subject - please! ;-) 3) I am going to send this message to the Rules Guru's as well as to the Remailer.... They will have any final say in the matter! However, if they agree that I have handled it well, then the game shall continue as scheduled! 4) I am going to leave the game suspended for at least a period of 24 hours! The reasons for this are so that a 'cooling off' period may take place; for the Rules Guru's to further discuss the case (if deemed necessary); and for a period which will allow any Protests to occur.... Protest Guidelines (draft - may or not be valid after this one case): If there is any situation in which you feel the Moderator has made a grevious error (either to your detriment (a majorly unjust or unfair decission), or to the Tournament detriment), it is requested that you follow these steps: 1) Send a message to the Remailer via the normal game channels stating you are making a Protest, and requesting that the Moderator suspend the game for the duration of the Protest Discussions. (Note, if there is a Protest in your game, and you are interested in the Proceedings, you may make note of the fact be replying to the message, again via the Remailer - however, unless you are directly involved in the Protest, you will only normally be allowed to 'listen' rather than 'have your peice!' 2) Send a message to with a subject of "WTWT:Protest in game xxx" (where xxx is your game number) and cc: to your Moderator, and any interested parties in your game *outside* the Remailer stating the nature of your Protest. If this privledge is abused (ie Protesting nothing), then a Rules Violation may be assessed (either major or minor).... 3) A Discussion will ensue through several persons - possibly including yourself, Bob, your Moderator, Gary (the *other* Rules Guru), the other Moderators, or other interested parties.... When a final decision is made (by Bob and/or Gary), you must be willing to accept the decision - and comply with the results!!! -- Ivan Baird, CET Deitech Computing Member of the Warlords II World Tournament Organizers Team.... They decide that it would be of utmost interest for Uncle Adolf to head of to the Ruin known as Dashorst Pit. He enters and finds a gift apparently left by the Oh mighty Warlord Gods. Aha! Addressing Kamer, Unwashed Mass says, "I left Mt Everest completely undefended and you didn't even touch it! If you had taken it, I couldn't have taken it back! Too late now!!" Flushed with success Unwashed Mass heads north into the hills. At just the right moment, an evil dwarf showed up with a rickshaw to pull him through the rough terrain. On the way, Unwashed Mass spotted an abondoned ruin. Remembering his past luck with ruins he went to investigate... and he found Neptune's Trident! Hmm, makes a good salad fork perhaps. Dissapointed with the lack of hideous monsters, Unwashed Mass started to get lonely. He wrote a letter to one of the Giant Worms, who promptly came slithering over. Everyone was happy again!! Meanwhile, the other giant worm was oozing around the north country.. Suddenly, he caught a sent... sniff.. .sniff.. smells like hero!!! All was quiet on the Northern front while Detente was maintained in the West. The only excitement came from the sole remaining giant worm, perhaps grieving for his slain comrade. Since his brother was wickedly cut down by the peircing claws of two griffons, the weeping worm slithered his way to the nearest nest, blasting apart the walls of Dublin to get at the tasty eggs inside. However, his anger satiated by the violent exertion, the worm took pity on the remaining griffons and let them be. Slowly, it seemed peace might come at last to the war torn lands of the Spectators. Unfortunately, the face off in the west does not bode well for our yearning for quiet rest. Hitler's Uncle has gathered together a host of minions to threaten our peaceful lands. Fortunately, the ever alert John Doe had his own friends, who he called over to help out. From his new outpost in the north, Unwashed Mass showed concern, but not too much.
