__________ __________/ \__________ <__________ Turn 1 __________> \__________/ _______________________________________________________________________________ The following message was sent on Monday October 06, 1997 at 07:02 AM EDT by Tournament Headquarters to all players; Hi all - This message contains some important notes about the special rules for Round A. Read it carefully! -- Bob Round A Rules Reminders! Last Updated 30-September-97 by Bob Heeter Read this message carefully - it contains a lot of essential information! *** Critical Scenario and Rules Changes from the Practice Round *** * Starting Gold: 4200/side * Razing: On Capture only * Round A games will last for 20 turns! * New Gold Rules: The gold limit for Strongholds is now 2500. All the gold is now in strongholds; revert until you get less than 2500. We recommend reverting to get between 2400 and 2500. (The odds of getting between 2400 and 2500 are about 10%, so this takes less reverting than trying to get near 3600!) * Special Builds: The center cities all build griffins! Sack 'em for cash - or build 'em! Note - griffins defending neutral cities are strength 8 (6+2). The neutral cities are set to "active" in the tournament. * New Rule: Two Heroes! You are allowed (and expected!) to revert and get a second hero on Turn 2. *** If you want a second hero, it MUST come ONLY on Turn 2. *** The second hero can come with *any* ally you choose in *any* city you control. You may not replace any dead heroes until *both* heroes are dead. Then the regular hero-replacement rules apply. (Note that once you lose a hero you cannot have more than one hero on the map.) Ask your Moderator or Headquarters for details. The starting gold has been increased to allow the purchase of the second hero. You must report the cost of the second hero and he/she must cost at least 1000 gold. * New Rule: Limited Allies with Replacement Heroes: After Turn 2, all replacement heroes may only come with wizards, ghosts, elementals, or worms. Archons, Demons, Dragons, and Devils are not allowed with replacement heroes - you can only get them from ruins or with your Turn 2 second hero. Warlord, use thy allies wisely! :) * Holidays: The U.S. Thanksgiving Weekend in late November and the midwinter holidays (from December 20 to January 7) will be official "Tournament Holidays". Time limits will not be enforced during those periods, and players do not need to worry about using up vacation time then, although we hope the games will all continue! We expect some games to finish before Christmas, and the rest in January and February. Round B will begin in mid-January after the winter holidays end! More timeouts will be supplied to all Round A players when Round B begins. *** Prizes for Round A *** The four Warlords who write the most entertaining game history will each receive a prize from SSG. The one Warlord who writes the best individual roleplay will also receive a prize from SSG. The awarding of both prizes will be determined after the round ends by a team of moderators (who will exclude themselves from recieving prizes). _______________________________________________________________________________ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Tournament Game: "A14" Turn Number: 1 Gamefile Sent To: Dark Lord Pi (Orange) (nafziger@scf.usc.edu) Date Sent: Friday October 10, 1997 at 05:15 AM EDT Date Gamefile Due: Monday October 13, 1997 at 05:15 AM EDT (In GMT-0800: Monday October 13, 1997 at 1:15 AM) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- _______________________________________________________________________________ The following message was sent on Tuesday October 14, 1997 at 11:02 AM EDT by "Brian Allan Hughes" to all players; Sir Long emerges in I.O.C. and surveys the land. His orders were to be followed, no matter what the cost. So it was on this second day of blood shed, a day that would remain forever embedded in the hearts of fellow Atheletes everywhere, that Roger arrived in Roger's new home of Locker Room. The first, and most noticeable, thing was the stench: decay and its cruel sister, death. Moldy bread and rotting human flesh filled the streets, inundated red from blood. This was no peaceful village, it was almost Los Angeles! Roger marched past the hungry beggers (Roger's pockets were full of the Master's gold), and up the keep steps. There, watching over the city was a sloven, despotical Scout. He chuckled with glee, unconscious of the harm he was doing. Roger proceeded to b-tch slap Scout until he realzied the error of his ways. But it was too late, hundreds were dead, and the rest would soon die from the smell. Suddenly, a messenger arrived. "I am from Master," he said, his face impassive. He then opened a small, brown letter: A Note of Doom! With a smile, he began to sing the telegram. It was short and he was gone before lunch. Roger, realizing the plan was Locker Room's only hope, ran out into the large, almost ominous, woods that surrounded the city of death. He brought with him one thing: bloody meat. Soon wolves, covered in strange, hairy creatures called riders, spawned out. Unsatisfied by the New York Steak, not only did they refuse to tip Roger, but they traveled into Locker Room where they began to devour human flesh! Luckily, Roger had a spell ready, but waited until all the decay and death had been devoured. Now the town was magnificently clean (good enough to eat off of, and the wolves did), but Roger now possessed a blood-thirsty, Wolfrider army of DOOM! Traveling onward, Roger came upon a monkey. They fought a long battle, but the monkey was too powerful. In despiration, Roger picked up a spear off of the ground and vicously stabbed the monkey to death. This was no ordinary spear! It was Hercules' Spear. Roger smiled for now there were only four more artifacts to get before Master's true power could be unleashed on his foes. And it is rumoured that at that exact moment was when the evil Scout, upset over his failures and all the homework his Physics teacher gave him, jumped five stories to his death. No one really cared though, since he had a 1.4 GPA anyway. ---Sorry, I was bored, and I want to win that thingee. So far so good. The still slumbering Light Cavalry were awoken by a loud rapping on the front gate. Apprehensively, they looked out. "Surely it can't be the enemy from east so soon!" It was not. It was the legendary mercenary, Wild Angel with her faithful Archon in tow. She offered her services for the paltry sum of 1152 gold pieces. Things are looking up! Immediately, Wild Angel is put to work. She heads south and decimates the meager defenses at Antwerp. The Scouts are piilaged; Wild Angel and her faithful companion enjoy a light lunch with a nice Belgian beer at the Beer Gardens. Two units of Light Cavalry are dispatched in opposite directions to take advantage of their speed. The first unit pillages Los Angeles after defeating the Scouts, who were wearing their gang colours in an ineffective display of bravado. The second unit brought the same fate to St. Louis. The Scouts were perched on the Arch and it was an easy task to pick them off and send their carcasses floating down the mighty Mississippi. The hairy lump on its back, called a rider, carried an important message from Master. "Roger, my beloved Lieutenant," it began, "Now is the time to bring carnage onto the world. Acquire the other four items of DOOM and bring my very presense onto these Olympic grounds so that they may be stained with oderferous death!" It was signed, in Spider's venom, by the Master himself. "Is this all?" Roger asked. "No..." Gasped the rider. "There is another." Soon he was gone. The other was the fabled Dragon Knight Ilira and Ilira's dragon Micro Ampere. As Roger's thoughts turned to a fellow minion, did at that moment Ilira appear from the overcast sky. "Greetings," Ilira smiled, "I shall gather an army of darkness: Poisionous Spiders, Man-eating Wolves, and evil Minotaurs. Master wants you to assemble the Items of DOOM!" With that Ilira was off toward Paris, the City of Lights. Roger traveled toward Amsterdam. Using the first item of DOOM, he crushed the city walls under the tip of his Hercules' Spear. Hundreds of Scouts died, their bones becoming common trinkets at the local Wal-Mart. Smelling blood, Minotaurs swarmed out of their underground caves. They acknowledged Roger's power and held a great feast in Roger's honour. At dawn, Roger traveled South, coming upon the fabled Kay's Crypt. Inside was a fierce dragon, its name was Bob. "Master said you were coming," Bob spoke, fire belching all over the room, "I shall prove my worth. Name any town. If I cannot conquer it before lunch, I will leave this map." "Toyko. I like their anime." Roger had barely set up a plaid blanket in a nearby park before Bob was back. Bob promised an army of Man-Eating Wolves to await Roger upon his arrival as a sign of faith. News of Ilira's deads traveled quickly. After mashed potatoes did word come of Ilira's stunning victory in Gay Paris. The Scouts were all killed to the man. After all, he was promised to get the aid of a second hero today! But it was well past noon on the second day before the messenger from the world of the almost-living arrived at St. Moritz, Paap's first resting place. 'Your fellow hero finally had showed up, sir. We're dressing him up right now. Where do you want him to arrive?' 'Well,' Paap answered briskly,'I had other plans for him, but given his attitude, it's better if he first makes his apperance here in front of me so i can address him and teach him some manners. Right now!' 'We'll send him to you ASAP', the messenger shouted as he ran back trough the huge city doors. The novice hero entered the castle five long minutes later. 'You! Oh no!' exclaimed Paap. 'Of all candidate-heroes on the face of the earth, they send you!' Koorpik somehow couldn't find the right words for an appropriate reply, so he choose to look as strong and fresh as possible, which was hard enough after such a long journey combined with a hangover like a f###- 'You look like hell. Koorpik replied: 'Well, it was late and I hadn't found any other yet so I took him.' Koorpik's mind had finally cleared up and his towers heigh selfesteem came out: 'do you have any orders for me today or are we gonna stay here all day?' 'We are gonna march right now.' Paap commanded. ' You will set them elementals in the north free and let them run anlong the olympic tracks to the northeast an capture all city's along them. Something was wrong, instead the hairs along the back of Roger's neck stood on end. An immense power was nearby, strong enough to eclipse the sun! Bob, the immensely powerful dragon, came waddling in having recently finished his breakfast of poached Scouts. His red eyes were filled with urgency. "Master wanted you to have this," Bob said, handing a delicate note. Roger frowned. Master's note was late. After reading the Courier 12-point contents, Roger's fears were quickly adverted. It seems that the sun was hiding from the blood that was to spill. Roger quickly mounted Bob and they flew off towards Harrison's House. As they got closer, they talked about why Quarter Pounders with Cheeze were named weirdly in Amsterdam. They slowly approached Harrison's door, their eyes glistening off the coloured energies flowing out of the roof. Bob kicked down the door. There inside were four men, playing cards and eating 'okay' cheeseburgers. Yet, there was something special about these cards: they were Magic! Bob began his quoting of Scripture, but then an evil Magic Player jumped out of the back room, launching Fireballs, Lightning Bolts, and Hammer of Bogardens. Unfortunatley for him, he missed. Roger and Bob countered with Spear and Claw, killing three of the men in the process. The other two surrendered, but Roger was not satisfied. Opening the briefcase, Roger removed the Happy-Happy Brainwasher Thingamabob. Now Master had two powerful Wizards to incite harm among the peaceful-loving, greedy Scouts. And wreck harm they did, each brought a town to its knees. Scouts in both Sparta and on top of Mt Everest screamed in terror as the inhabitants of their towns were transformed into hideous Dwarves and poisonous Spiders, respectfully. Word traveled of Ilira's deeds. Micro Ampere had flown him to the Lair of Luther, where a devil had been waiting to help with Ilira's cause of destruction. As Roger and Bob left the carnage they had caused, they noticed that the sun was back. Roger slipped on some shades as they flew south, toward the second item of DOOM! * * * Ilira landed Micro Ampere next to a man-eating Wolf. It seems its hideous, furry, Rider attachment had a message from Master, himself. "Ilira, my trusted Dragon Knight, you shall seek yourself some allies. The Hero known as Paap has met a friend of ours, the Economist Bob McBob. Mayhaps this Paap could see the wisdom of Wanton Distruction Plan B. Find this Hero and ask." Ilira destroyed the note. "Yes, I will find this hero," Ilira thought, petting Micro Ampere's black scales, "And this Paap will join... or else." --- We now return you to the regularly scheduled turn report --- Gold at Start of Turn: 864 Roger visits Harrison's House, gets 2 Wizards. The Major, a unit of light cav., was convinced in favor of the operation after a green Elemental had promised huge financial and material aide from the side of the Reporters. Almost all of whites allies have been sent to the area, weakening its defences on it's eastern border to a minimal level. The Athletes are said to be marching in a western direction, with a maximum wind support from their back. In other news the government of the Reporters strongly denied rumours that one of it's elementals would have treathened with the use of military forces to get Mexico City abandonned. Head of the reporters Fortissimo says I quote: 'If I would have wanted to use force, I would have sent one of my notorious Heroes, not a small Elemental.' Meanwhile, the major of Mexico City, A light cav., seams to have fled the country with a huge mount of gold destine for the evacutation. *********************** Official Turn Report Template ************************ REPORT FOR TOURNAMENT ROUND A, GAME A14, TURN 3, SIDE 3. ====================================================================== ======== Gold at Start of Turn: 1902 Hero Koorpik visits Ruin Vicker's Finale and receives Tonya's fanclub (com +1) Hero Paap visits Ruin Zack's Home and recieves Chariot of Fire (Bat +2) Battle vs. White in Mexico WarBOT beta 8 Armyset: Tournament b1-4 WL version: PC Classic Intense Combat: Off Terrain: Enemy city 0,1,2 prod Hero Bonuses Non- For- TOTAL Minus Fly Natural Item Hero tify City Cancel BONUS Enemy Item -------------------------------------------------------------- ATT: 0 0 1 0 *1* 0 No DEF: 0 0 0 0 1 *1* 0 No Entered Final Attack Units: Strength Strength Survival % --------------- -------- -------- ---------- Elemental 5 6 0,79442 <-- Lives! Below sprawled forests and small towns. A small road winded off into the distance. "Politician, sir," an image appeared before the still-flying Roger. It was one of the Wizard-Scouts below. "What is it?" Roger grumbled, faking annoyance because Roger liked to toy with lesser men's minds. "The fabled city of Seoul is approaching just ahead. Wasn't..." "Yes!" Roger exclaimed, cutting the servant's sentence in half. Master had warned Roger to take the utmost caution in Magically Communiques. No one knows who might be listening. After an hour, the Castle of Seoul grew out of the horizon. Bob swooped down, dropping off Roger in mid air. Roger sailed down, over the feeble walls, and landed next to a Scout. The Scout quivered and dropped his dagger as Roger rose to his full height. He begged as Roger lifted him off the ground with his spear. Blood leaked the walls from his shaking, and stained Roger's robes red. Inside a small hut, in the back of town, Roger found Shapiro, the Wizard-Scout, and Bob, the fierce dragon, waiting. Roger unfolded the ancient map, smiling as the next item of DOOM!'s location seemed to glow off of the map. "It will not be long now, Master!" * * * As soon as other Wizard-Scouts and forest ilk began to fix-up the damage that Seoul had sustained, did a messenger arrive from the South. "A message for you," he said with crooked teeth. Roger opened it, it was from Master! "Now that you and my happy Dragon Knight Ilira or so far apart, only through messages can you two communicate your battles. "Ilira had urgent news of a battle brewing in the northwest, and wanted your help. Ilira has also discovered the location of another item of DOOM!" Roger destroyed the note and killed the messenger, to keep the information secret. Then Roger began to laugh uncontrollably: the location of two items of DOOM! in one day? It seems Lady Luck was on Roger's side at last. * * * Ilira, on the other hand, felt no such love. Riding Micro Ampere north, through the town of Olympia, Ilira arrived at the first true Hero battle on the map. Viscously did Ilira slay the feeble Light Calvary, and as its blood steamed to the sky did the Master's words come to the town of London. "Crush them all. To the Calvary, Spider, and Archon: none shall stop Dragon Knight Ilira!" As Ilira's army formed around the dead villagers, did Ilira raise his sword into the sky to scream a prayer for those that stood before his wraith. And Ilira did whisper for friends who would die alongside Ilira's shield. Roger Pillages Scout at Seoul, 175 gold. Wolfrider Pillages Scout at Rome, 175 gold. The army group attacking Moscow had to sacrifice a complete unit of wolfriders before they managed break down the defences of the city. But even then it took hours of streetfighting before the attacking Elementals could raise the green flag on moscow's city hall. The attack on Atlanta was very sticky due to huge moats filled with coca-cola. the attacking armies deciced let the wolfriders drink all of them empty, after which the surprised garrison found himself in an evenly matched street-to-street battle. It was the speed and the endurance of the elementals that finally sealed Green's victory. Most of the citizens of Munich had fled when they heared the news of the defeat of their colleage-griffin cities, and the remaining griffins quickly surrendered when they saw a Devil (blessed by Warbot, but doomed by death for not killing heroine Wild Angel) approach their city walls. On the other side of Fortissimo's vast empire, Paap unleashed another Devil to secure final victory. It immedeately sped towards the front battle and is now impantiently waitng for orders to launch an attack on the treacherous enemies. *************** Official Turn Report Template ********************** REPORT FOR TOURNAMENT ROUND A, GAME A14, TURN 4, SIDE 3. ================================================================== Gold at Start of Turn: 287 Hero Paap visits Ruin Scott's secret and receives a Devil Battle against neutral city of Atlanta WarBOT beta 8 Armyset: Tournament b1-4 WL version: PC Classic Intense Combat: Off Terrain: Neutral city 1 or 2 prod Hero Bonuses Non- For- TOTAL Minus Fly Natural Item Hero tify City Cancel BONUS Enemy Item -------------------------------------------------------------- ATT: 0 0 1 0 *1* 0 No DEF: 0 0 0 0 0 *0* 0 No Entered Final Attack Units: Strength Strength Survival % --------------- -------- -------- ---------- Elemental 5 6 0,59667 <-- Lives! "So, this Erchamion wants a cease-fire? But it is too late for that... the plans have been drawn... the Scouts are in place... unless.... Roger walked up to the Wizard-Scout. Before Roger had uttered a word, a note appeared in the Wizard-Scout's hand. Roger opened it slowly, it was from Master! It was addressed to Roger, "Blue is too haughty. As Erchamion seeks peace, forces of evil move against peaceful villages. Set a line. A line that shall stand unbroken between the beautiful armies of hot and cool colours." And Master's signature adorned the bottom. Bob waddled in, his meal au Scout was finished. "Do we proceed?" Roger smiled, "Yes. But only the fabled, arched Sydney shall change hands. There shall rest the Maxon-Dixon Line. A cease-fire line until one army no longer rests upon this map. Then my attentions shall return to acquiring the items of DOOM!" And so Roger, alone, went forth. The Master's Orange Standard waved high in the air as Roger entered through the open front gates of Sydney. Inside, some Calvary were enjoying their afternoon tea. Or had been, before they were hit by a sleeping spell. Roger's Wizard-Scouts came in, slightly tired from their spell that put the whole town to sleep. With them was Bob. Then Roger drew a line. It was a small one, just a few hundred paces South of Sydney, but Roger felt it satisfied the objective. Now if only Blue's deadly forces would walk the other way... * * * Dragon Knight Ilira donned a Orange Helmet as Ilira mounted Micro Ampere's back. Micro Ampere spread his broad, black wings as he traveled south, toward an old hoard of his. Below the Devil followed. Inside there was gold, and plenty of it. Local villagers came from as far away as Olympia to help cart the needed resource. Ilira oversaw the tedious task, whipping those who fell. Unfortunately, all the celebrations came to an end as word of a Blitzkrieg force of White's reached Micro Ampere's hightened ears. Ilira looked back at what must of been thousands of unmined gold, but the safety of the supply lines was more important. "We fear the armies drenched in blue..." "...they could kill us," the Wizard-Scouts said, one finishing the other's thoughts. "We have a blood-signed contract. Though their champion advances near our mighty fortress, I worry not where his loyalties lie." "Yet, that is the problem. For although he no longer marches toward us, his travels will bring him closer to a fabled item of DOOM!" Roger paused, unsure of what the Wizard-Scout said. But the words could have been no truer: an item of DOOM! was nearby! At once Roger set out, afraid for his allies, but confidant that the hero Feanor would allow their fragile treaty to hold. Soon he came upon the ruins of Langer's Lair. Everything seemed strange... a little too strange... There was nothing guarding the entrance except for a little bunny. "Careful," warned a Wizard-Scout, "he's got big fangs!" Roger approached cautiously, armed with nothing but his Hercules' Spear, the first item of DOOM! The bunny lunged for Roger's neck, right into a trap. For where Roger's neck should have been was Bob! Bob bit into the bunny and ripped it in twain, later he commented on how it tasted kind of like chicken. Inside was a gnarly belt, the Anton Geesinks Belt, an item of DOOM! As Roger clasped the fancy leather accesory around Roger's slim waist, a wave of power washed over. Roger was no longer Roger the Politician, son of Yorrick, and servant of Master, but now Roger was Roger the Politician, son of Yorrick, and servant of Master, level 2!!! At least that is how the story goes. * * * The fabled Dragon Knight Ilira, meanwhilst, was raising together an army, in prepardeness of white's hostility. Ilira held a coin up, with loyal soldiers and Ilira's Dragon, Micro Ampere, watching. "This flip," Ilira announced, "will determine whether Angel lives, or dies..." The coin sailed into the air, slowly sommersaulting over-and-over, the result was... Gold at Start of Turn: 829 Roger gains a level. Now an Amazon. However, the margin of victory of the foul denizen of the netherworld is much smaller than reported originally. I guess that's to be expected, considering the source. Unless there is some reason that the devils entered strength should be 8 and not 7 this should stand as the "official" record of the far too early demise of Sir Long. About warbot: I use beta 8 (i believe), the windows version. I just copy-paste it's results. Maybe the mac-version has a slightly different style of output, but the results should be the same. 2) It now looks like i will not be 'online' for the next 4 weeks from sunday evening untill wednesday evening. I'll be in another part of holland (a 'work placement' for my study). Since i have only 3 timeouts left this _could_ mean that i run out of timeouts. Is there some way to avoid this problem? Perhaps they would make it in time... Meanwhilst, a letter came to the attention of the Dragon Knight Ilira. It was from the white-robed army. Ilira was deep in thought when Ilira's trusty steed, Micro Ampere, wandered over. "What is it?" the Dragon asked. "Trouble. Remember the agreement we made with the hero known as Paap of the greens? It seems their foe wants a truce with us to fight them. If so, we'd be at peace with all armies, leaving none for us to vanquish." "But are we not of the intent to gather all of the items of DOOM!?" questioned Micro Ampere. * * * Within a fortnight, a message went out in the hands of the strange, hairy lumps of a Wolf's Rider. A noise startled Roger up, Hercules' Spear in hand. "Soon does the day approach." "And which day would that be?" Roger asked the feroucious Dragon, Bob. "Happy Lights Day, of course," Bob smiled. Roger knew what he meant. Happy Lights Day was the day Heroes went to Temple to get Blessed. And, looking through Roger's Day-Planner, Roger realized that it was tomorrow! "Quickly, we must hurry. Else the Master will be displeased!" And so oft they went, flying at full speed toward the nearest Temple. Right before they could break the sound barrier, a Broken Pole launched at them. Roger, and Roger's trusted companions, crash landed in an old pillow factory -- strategically placed, of course. A man, shouting more oaths than a sailor, was standing in front of a nearby Crypt, Birnbaum's Crypt. He looked the worse for wear. "What do you mean throwing a pole at us?" Roger asked, trying not to notice that smell. "It was an accident. I had no idea that...." Suddenly the man stopped talking. His right eye began twitching as he focused on Roger's chest. Or more specifically, Master's pendant that dangled there. "For the Illuminati!" the old man screamed, pulling out a strange hand-held crossbow that fired bullets instead of bolts. Roger dived behind a pile of rocks as 'bullets' whizzed through the air that Roger had just been occupying. One of the two Wizard-Scouts that had been accompying Roger opened up with a fersome blast of magic, just as his partner did the same. The old man stumbled back toward the opening Crypt doors, but then Bob bit his arm off. "Cannot let you get items of DOOM!!!" the old man whined, stumbling back through the door. Just then, Roger stood up and tossed the Hercules' Spear into the old man's heart. The man dropped dead in a pool of blood. As Roger and Allies approached the Crypt, a tinted limosine pulled out and drove away. One of the Wizard-Scouts had to eat turf to avoid being hit by the car. Roger looked inside, seeing what remained of an Illuminati base. They had cleared out quickly, but had left what appeared to amount to exactly 2466 gold pieces. An empty trophy case also remained, proving that the Illuminati must be hiding one of the items of DOOM!!! "We shall get them yet!" Roger vowed, removing the Hercules' Spear from a now-twitching corpse. So they resumed flying toward the Temple, and came across a pair of creatures, laying seige against a bar in Dublin. It seems the bouncer, a Griffin, wouldn't let the two in. Roger walked up and slapped the Griffin down, freeing up the eqq nog to all the thirsty members of Roger's party. If we do not hear from you by your next turn, we will be forced to convert your side to a Static Defense, and you will be eliminated from the Tournament! It would be much better for you to write in and let us know you are out there, but simply want your kingdom to be put on "Standing Orders" (units sit and defend and you don't have to take your turn). If we don't hear from you, you'll lose your chance to get a new lease on life and play in Round B. -- Bob / Headquarters P.S. Sorry to everyone that this was delayed. A large plaque read: "WarBOT Temple, Yo! To All That Enter Here" Undaunted, Bob brushed open the doors with his snout. Inside monks and followers prayed around strange, enchanted rocks called... Computers! Roger walked inside as Bob held the doors open. Accompaning Roger were loyal Wizard-Scouts, a Man-Eating Spider, and an evil (and drunk) Dwarf named Pete. Roger bowed in prayer as the monks provided beef-stew baths and fresh pieces of baloney to bolster the spirit. Refreshed physically, the prayers unlocked greater powers in all that accompanied the Politician. Roger then drifted comfortably to sleep. * * * A short distance away, teh Dragon Knight Ilira was engaged in mortal combat with an evil traffic jam. The demon was relentless, but with the help of Micro Ampere, Ilira's trusted mount, the traffic was roasted alive. Ilira then lifted away the expensive cars from Ivan's Palisade and sold them for a tidy profit. As Ilira began to relax, word came that White-robed monsters were approaching London. Checking a sundial, Ilira knew that no Dragon could carry Ilira back in time. The city began to speed up production in preperation for its defense. As the last car was sold to the used car dealership, a messenger returned from the South. It had failed to deliver a New Year's Day message to Erchamion. Ilira realized that if Erchamion was no longer in charge (perhaps overthrown) than that truce was no longer in effect. Ilira's heart torn between the south and the north, Micro Ampere was ordered into the sky, destination unknown... -- Begin turn summary: -- Gold at Start of Turn: 2060 Ilira, the Dragon Knight, searches Ivan's Palisade and gets 2496 gold.
