He was immediately confronted by a slovenly Scout, offering a deal: "Ay, mate. A man like you could use an 'and, eh? Maybe a little "assistance"? 'ah could be of 'elp, you see. I've got this banner..." And with that, the Scout revealed the Orange Standard, once used by the Hero of the Athletic Tribe of the Northern Forest. "Where'd you get that?" Max demanded. "Oh, I find things 'ere and there in my travels. I find all the ruins. I've got a Map, you see...." and his eye twinkled with greed as he revealed the Ruin Map in Jpeg form. "What's the deal?" asked Max, trying to hide his intense interest. "25gp a day. And...." the scout said, drawing it out for reference, "I get to walk just 6 spaces a day." "I've got a better deal" said Max. "Why don't I take the banner and the map from You..." and in one swift move he snatched the two with his left hand from the Scout, and unholstered and leveled his sawed-off shotgun with his right-- "and spare your life?" "Well that hardly seems fair..." swallowed the Scout. "I dun' know" continued Max, clicking back both triggers, "seems to me yer gettin' a bargain." The scout flinched his left hand, and Max shot him dead, using his last bullet. He dropped the shotgun and hoisted the ancient banner. "With the power from this, I don't need that anymore anyway....." Using the gold from his Underworld wheelings and dealings (4215 gold pieces to be exact), he set forth reconstructing a usable military and society by building Archers in what was left of the Locker Room. This set him back 1000 of the precious gold pieces. Max then ventured out into the Wasteland in search of life. The first city he came to was Paris. But it was unlike the Paris he had known. Now plagued by greed and sloth in the form of more Scouts, he quickly dispatched the slow, expensive units and pillaged their resources. (175 gold). Finding the surrounding area of Forests tough to traverse just outside the city, Rocatansky set about producing Unicorns so that his new society could grow beyond the vast expanse of dense forestation. This set him back another 1100 of his precious gold pieces. Max drew camp outside Paris and began to contemplate the Ruin Map. It would be slow going, and he longed for his car. While trying to find his friend Piglet, Wild Boar discovered the Jagged Ones are lurking not too distant from his farm! Fearing for his farm's safty, Wild Boar asked the old wise horse what he should do... The old wise horse replied: "You should nicely ask the Jagged One to either raze Montreal or leave the Montreal alone as a neutral area all togather. Since the Jagged Ones wakes up earlier in the day than you do, you should offer them something in return for their efforts. Possibilities includes hands off policies in the Moscow area and your promise of not including Montreal in the farm if it remains neutral. If the Jagged Ones are nice to you, you may even want to offer them to include Montreal in their farm on the 20th day! It was the Gyro Captain, returning from TomorromorrowLand. He landed just inside the Paris walls. "Pahtners" from before the Wars, the Gyro Captain signed on for the Campaign, and took a gander at the Ruin Map. However, his traveling companion-- a Dragon-- requested 1023 gold upfront before risking life and limb to rebuild a society that he himself never belonged to. "Mercenaries", Max scoffed, but coughed up the money just the same, knowing the importance of certain abilities. Besides, as the Dragon helped keep the Gyro Captain "in flight", it seemed they came as a set, and Max needed all the help he could get at this point. The three of them broke camp. Max continued on the road along the water, eventually reaching the remains of London. It, too, was infested with Scouts and Max saw no reason to spare them, either. He found another 175 gold in their vaults, and he added it to the treasury, softening the blow of the Dragon's one-time expense. The Gyro Captain, aflight, found easy passage to the Lair of Luther. Here he convinced a dwelling Devil to join the Campaign. The Devil immediately set off for the remains of Olympia, where he devoured the local Scouts for lunch. The pillaged 175 gold was added to the Athletic Treasury. Thus concluded the days' movement events. Production of Lt. cavalry was begun in London, for the tooling cost of 200 gp. Max knew he'd have to keep things cheap, as his new "allies" were notorious for spending their leader's money on outrageous builds. Giants, being one of the few creatures respected by Devils, were begun in Olympia. This cost 1100 gp. Max about choked. So Piglet went out and learned all he can from the farm animals. Until one day, he met Wild Boar... Wild Boar was not from the farm, and his interest is to roam the forest searching for truffles, but for some reason, he became Piglet's best friend. It was the second day of the calender and Wild Boar finally heard that Piglet has arrived at the Farm with a Archon Pig. He also heard that Piglet gave the Archon Pig 1087 err of corn! So he thought to himself, "I must find a friend of my own to help me explore the World!" He began searching everywhere... At the dawning of a new day, Max saw by the ruin map that he could likely find the remains of Bob Heeter's Bar. Unlike other ruins which were old relics from past civilizations, this tattered structure was actually a recently failed business. It had gone under from lack of patronage when it was discovered that the Bar's owner was a tea-totaler who would scoff as customers would ask for another round.... Max found the structure and ventured forth. He banged his knee on old table inside, but survived. In the corner, in an old "lost and found" he discovered the Pole of Bubka. Combined with his Orange Standard (and other "heroic powers) this gave him the ability to Fly. As Max left the bar, he practiced flight by wafting over the hills. He could see off into the distance, and thought he saw an Archon of a white-clad tribe, possibly a day away. With other more pressing duties closer to home, Max didn't bother to venture further in that direction. But he realized he was not alone in the Wasteland..... Joining a lt cavalry from London, Max floated his way over the trees to find the secluded stronghold, wherein supposedly there lies some gold. Tired from a full day's running around, he realized he'd have to finish his search the next day. Elsewhere, the Gyro captain made quick work of finding more Relics. The trick was to sneak into the Moderator's home while he was resetting the game, and steal the Hercules Spear from his office. This would give +2 Battle bonus, were it ever needed. The Devil found his way to Rome, and had lunch-- Scouts, with a side of river water. Deciding he'd need more security, the Devil made Spiders, but it cost the usable portion of Max's purse, all of 700 gp. A unicorn from Paris moved swiftly through the woods to take Amsterdam. It was pillaged of scouts to generate some income, and provide a resting/refueling area for Gyro for the night. Unfortunately, word from Max was that the Devil was on a binge and there was no money for production at this time. Thus ended the reported moves of the Athletes of the Northern Tribe. Summary: Heroes: Gyro finds +2 battle item. (+3 exp=6), Rocatansky finds Flight Item (+3 exp=7) Unicorn takes Amsterdam, pillages 175. No build. Devil takes Rome, pillages 175, builds Spiders. At the end the Old Wise Horse said: "The Jagged Ones wakes up earlier in the day than we do and as the saying go, 'the early bird gets the worm...' Since they promised not to go south from there, we will observe them and take no action at this point... Judging from their Hv. Inf. build, it looks like they do not plan to attack us. As long as they do not keep or vector fast-moving units there, the farm should be safe." Then he went on and addressed the issues in the East: "The Wall may have mis-understood our intention in the East. Tell them that we are only on our way to get blessing from the Gods and not to be alarmed. The vectoring is design to speed up this process. Farm animals are quite peaceful if you leave them alone. We only wish to guard the farm until we go into our next existance... It is also the policy of the Farm that unless we are at war, we take only neutral cities, we will not occupy cities flying the banner of other inhabitants..." Lastly, he look to the future and said: "Send a message to all inhabitants and let them know although farm animals like to receive blessings from the Gods, we do not plan to spend a night at the temple. I would like to address each of you in turn as I have a few things to discuss. First, Jagged the White. I do congratulate you on hidding your true desire behind your outright affirmation that you will not meddle into southern affairs. I really enjoy looking at your forces movement while keeping that promise in mind. To Mad Max the Orange, my current intentions towards your kingdom are peacefull. I know this may be hard to believe after this turn but consider the following points. First, I could have taken MtEverest, defend it with my two giant worms and wolfriders, vector tons of armies there and generally wreck havoc upon your kingdom from the inside. I chose to take Dublin instead. Second, I retooled Seoul (our border city) with heavy infantries which could not move even if their lives depanded on it. They will not present a threat to your kingdom. The Dublin-Seoul line will be a blessing line. These cities will act as rest points for my armies on their way to get blessings from the Gods. I will not attack your cities or armies unless provoqued. To Piglet the Green, if you order your hero near Goransson ruin, I will consider it as an act of war. I left Grenoble and Rio without production to show you my goodwill toward your farm. The vectoring is purely for defensive purposes and the spider will not get there very fast. I live in peace and I like it. If you do have a querrel with someone, let me know, I may be able to help in some way for the price of a few cities. Have a nice turn. Also, see if he knows of anyone ELSE roaming about. And get going!" ____________________ Now for "REAL" Diplomacy. (No Roleplaying.) I was going to try to do much of the game in character, actually. And wasn't going to make contact with any of you until you were within a turn of movement. (Thus, I could "attack" you that turn If I wished, sort of thing.....) Thus, Arun's Archon fell into that category last turn..... However, as the expansion is so rapid, and diplomacy is flying about already, I guess I better speak up, lest you all think me unfriendly as a Person. (Which isn't true... :-) ) 1) Denis. No problem. I take this opportunity to apologize for the "strong-side" look I'm giving you, what with all the allies, but that's just my "ally" side of the ruins, and how things worked out. I fear your Worms somewhat, but with Dragons nearby I'm sure you feel the same. AS white has chosen to "piss me off", I think we'll find a "peaceful border" between us to be a welcome thing. 2) Mike. We'll talk later. "White matters" in particular, but I'm interested in eventually trying a "kitty-corner" alliance, as there is no turf conflict. But not right now, as the game is very early and I'm off to a worse start than I hoped..... 3) ARUN! Tsk-tsk. What're you trying to do to me, man? :) There's a *reason* I don't build anything worthwhile in that city-- for possibilites such as this!!! I told you last turn I saw your Archon. Now the guys dead..... :( AS for your response-- You know what? You could. You *could* kill my hero as a response. But then, I'd kill yours. Net result? You are missing a Hero, a Dragon (he would die killing MY hero), and of course, your ARchon. I'd be missing just my Hero and a bunch of "dead animals." As it is still VERY early in the game, I advise against a "hero swap". You lose irreplaceable allies, and I bet Mike would just eat you alive. (Rem: your ghosts are soon a match for nothing.) You're off to a decent start, you've got cities in the middle-- why don't you try and build something first, rather than lose far to many armies to ME, who is currently losing anyway? ("Boy what a dumb strategy THIS is proving to be....") That's it from the "Real Max". :*) MadMax _______________________________________________________________________________ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Tournament Game: "A04" Turn Number: 4 Gamefile Sent To: Piglet (Green) (mleung@uclink.berkeley.edu) Date Sent: Wednesday October 29, 1997 at 02:47 PM EST Date Gamefile Due: Friday October 31, 1997 at 2:47 PM EST (In GMT-0800: Friday October 31, 1997 at 11:47 AM) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- _______________________________________________________________________________ The following message was sent on Thursday October 30, 1997 at 12:37 PM EST by mleung@uclink.berkeley.edu (Michael P. When they entered the city, a griffin suddently appeared and ate horsie! Devil Pig did not take this kindly and killed the griffin with his pitch fork. Both Piglet and Wild Boar was busy! Piglet found the most sought after breed of pigs of all, a DRAGON Pig! He also discoverd a long buried artifact: the Olympic Fire that will encourage other farm animals to listen to him. Meanwhile, Wildboar found the Jump of Lewis which will enabel him to fly! What a sight: Flying Pigs! With this new found toy, he flew to a nearby ruin and found a huge golden truffle. Since he is an experienced truffle-hunter, he knew the truffle must be worth a lot, so he sold it in the farmer's market for 2495 GP. The Farm animals are sad to learn a war have broken out in our land... A fence was put up to protect the Farm and a lot of animals embarked to the temple to receive blessing from the Gods. Hopefully, these actions will keep them safe from the salvages of the war. They fear that your northern expansion combined with your defense stacks along our border are threatening their peaceful existence. Please remove your defense stacks along our border in the interest of peace. Also, you stated earlier your intention of paying tribute to the gods in the central temple but also stated your lack of desire of staying overnight. Leung) to all players; The farm animals completed a uneventful turn. We have received concern messages from both the Wall and Mad MAX about the movements and vectoring of the farm animals. To address these concerns, we have enclosed a map of what the Farm consider the current border between the Farm and other empires. The map are drawn with great care using the idea of the border between two kingdoms is the midway point between the nearest cities. Thus, the thick yellow lines represents a "nutral zone" which the farm animals recommands neither side of violates. Doing so without prior notice may be interpruted as a act of war. We welcome comments from other empires regarding this proposal... To further show our peaceful intend toward the wall, we will not position any units east of the thin red line. Please note that that line represents at least a two to three turn journey into the Wall's Kingdom. We would also like to point out that there will be movement activities between Oslo and Atlanta since that is our main route to the temple. We would also like to reassures the Wall and MadMAX that it should not cause any conerns: once the animals received the blessings, they will return to other cities of the farm. However, since Atlanta is the front city to all kingdom, we will have a significant presence in that city. We have kept our promise of not occupying the temple overnight and we have taken down the most of the towers that are nearest to the Wall as a courtesy. However, we would like the option of building towers within our kingdom which we think is not too much to ask? As to the unit movements of the Wall, we assume that the hero stack near the Goransson ruin will not advance any further West... We are aware that the units in that stack can easily take two of our lightly defended citis in the upcoming cycle but we trust the Wall will not initiate an unprovoked conflict... We would like to point out to MadMAX that we have no borders with your kingdom so your concern maybe somewhat unfounded. We will negotiage a border if the city situation changes. ----- Starting Ending City 11 11 Gold 306 6 Income 240 240 Expense 47 47 Wild Boar Exp 13 13 Piglet Exp 11 11 ** Events: None ** Battles: None ** Builts: Hv. Piglet the Green will be too powerful and will overtake both our cities!" "Yes sir, Lake Placid and Dublin will never be safe, it is time to make a preemptive strike against the green forces. It will knock him off balance and, by the time he will regroup, we will have taken precious resources away from him." "But, gentlemen, I am not sure our Kingdom can afford to be stretched so far. I concede that we have a tentative peace treaty with both White and Orange as they are busy with each other but I cannot discount the possibility that they may turn against us." "Yes sir, but Green has only comply partially with our demands. The safety with our two northern cities is still not guaranteed. When the vectored forces will arrive up north, they may invade our territory with relative ease." "I have to agree with you on that point." "Plus sir, if I may, I do not think that Green will be content with 11 cities. They will look to expand. The way they are moving their troops, it appears clear to me that we will be their target within the next four turns, not White nor Orange. Then having the advantage of a more direct access to the gods' blessings, their troops will likely have the upper hand on us." "I have to grant you that point too." "With all du respect sir, Green has proven to be quite the Warlord in past campaigns. His cunning and long term planning will work against us. Our current position and resource usage will put us at a disadvantage toward Green." "Indeed, he fought bravely before this... I see gentlemen that you are quite convinced about this. And one thing I like is general that are convinced about a strategy. Although, this decisions me prove to be the worst yet in this campaign, I will go forward with your proposition. I then declare WAR on Green as of this moment on. Send the green ambassador back with the news and prepare the troops for the coming invasion. "Also, send messengers to both White and Orange. Tell White that this decision does not have any repercussions on our relationship. We do intend and swear not to attack White until at least turn 12, if not later. "Tell Orange that we wish the peace treaty to be formalized and valid until at least turn 15, if not turn 20. We understand that White troops movement are directly aimed at the Orange territory and will not use any opportunity that may arise from this to our advantage for the duration of the peace treaty. We expect the same from him. Signal to him that Seoul is not a place for long range troops and he should do the same with his cities on our mutual border." Although I am not sure I lead my kingdom towards victory, I know in my soul that inaction is more often then not worst then action. This decision will either be brilliant or plain stupid. Only time will tell. Tonight, I will sleep soundly. Have a nice turn. Which got the response of "That's when they take our gold for taxes, and all our armies desert us, Sir." BUT, due to recent events () -- boy, your Treaty sounds like a Great Idea, doesn't it? :-) :-) I think Turn 15 sounds fair. Maybe we'll even live that long? I know how you feel. Honestly, as a Player, I *too* was expecting to sit back for a bit, not piss any one off, and just see how it went. (This is what we get from Playtesting, eh?) Instead, I'm flung into a fight far sooner than I expected, and feel nothing short of heartache as I had what I considered to be an interesting strategy going-- and it's completely out the window now! I know you have your hands full on the east-- and maybe you'll think I'm suggesting this to somehow aide Denis-- but I thought I'd point out that I've attracted ALL of White's strength and ALLIES (and heroes, and vectoring, and...) ... So if EVER you thought, "Geez, Montreal is nice this time of year"-- boy would this be the time to do it!! :*) With two heroes, you might be able to bolster yourself enough to grow, even while at War. Obviously, any attack against White/distraction at this point helps Me, and you seem to have a few easy targets on your border. (Thus, this helps You.. :) ) Thought I'd just mention it.... I had to bring him south, and knew I had to put him over the water. But certainly never thought about the item switch. Well done.... :-/ NOW-- for the facts. We're rather hot and heavy, and I think ultimately you'll probably get me. But, you'll be dead soon thereafter. We keep "eliminating" each other like this, neither one of us will survive to the end. For now, my cities appears to be safe for Piglet's vengeance but this will not last I fear. I am grateful to Madmax the Orange for so far honoring our pact of non-aggression until turn 15. Although I feel his wolfriders stationed near our border would be useful elsewhere, I cannot ask him to move them. I would appreciate a confirmation of his pledge yet again; it would reassure me. And Jagged the White appears to trust Piglet thus far. His southern border is not very well guarded. Piglet may choose to go north if he realizes that our advance will be hard and costly to stop. Up north, he can gain as many, if not more, cities then what he will lose down south. Indeed, I cannot overextend my army and the bulk of his force is up there. Food for thoughts. Merely, "misplaced" for the remainder of the game..... :/} Well, as YOU all have chosen to venture forth into diplomacy.... So can I! (Besides, this is LAST turn's message! :-) I haven't moved yet.) MIKE-- where is that "Turn 5 from the Reporters Front Line"? I kind of wanted to read that, though I'm pretty sure I was going to get panned.... :-/ Also, I'm going to back Denis up on the treaty issue-- I never thought you agreed to it either! (And, Arun hasn't agreed to anyone other than a border with Mike.) Mike/Denis: Enjoy your war. Hopefully, you'll have fought for something. I have so ROYALLY been taken unprepared (Violated Rule #1: never underestimate your opponent) that I'm virtually a dead duck already. (Visions of "Turtle Defense" dance in my head....). My problem? No armies. Went for the slow, strong growth-- and got stuck with the neighbor with the battle fetish! Thus I'm tough-- in about two places. The two of YOU will emerge from your battle to find Arun has the map. He vectors EVERYTHING to the two cities on my border (4 a turn!). These are also the cities 1) by the temple, and 2) immediately north of you two. So, while I'd originally hoped to hold Arun off-- it is now obvious that I can't as armies are just too scarce. (I was NOT planning on losing that hero. That hurt more for position than fact. He died where I didn't have him covered, because I'd figured his terrain had him covered itself. My mistake, and excellent timing by Arun....) So, you two might want to look ahead to the next thirteen turns and "visualize" the game. If I can't-- or refuse-- to "swap" armies with someone who outnumbers me two to one, then there will be THAT many more of them left coming after You Two when he's done with Me! I stated this before, and I agree with Denis: Mike, you've GOT to make a run at White. He only has ONE hero, and you are allowing him to hold TWO borders. (WHereas, you have TWO and are only holding one.) DENIS-- YOU"VE go to lay off Mike so that he can do it. Because think of the results, chum-- when I'm gone (or rather, severely weakened)-- where do you think that leaves YOU? Now YOU would have a two front battle (and maybe, so would Mike, but considering ARun only has ONE hero, I'd gather than he'd FLY down to all your empty cities.) [Uh... 'cuz that was what *I* was gonna do.... :*) I spent an HOUR working on raiding you with two Wizards, then figured it was too early in the game and should wait for the bigger stack, when I could make it "stick." Oh well..] In conclusion: Unless you guys give ME more credit than I give myself (Geez, thanks-- Now wake Up! :*) )-- bear in mind that I don't have much longer in this game. [Not that I really wanted Arun to know this, but I figure I get about 5 more turns, and end up turtled in 2-3 cities.] So, *think* how "progressed" you'll be by turn 12. Either of you ready by then to take on a "blessed" opponent from above? How about a little "delay" tactic? MIKE-- surely you can take MORE from Arun than Denis will take from You? Put everything on Defense, send one offensive stack up. DENIS: Give Mike a turn or two to raid Arun. You have all those armies going to the middle. That's just time for you to bless them, and position them better. ME: I'm going to do what I have to-- fight for dear life! (laughing). But I *really* got caught out. Last turn I spent much of the time mad at myself for blowing it, besides figuring out what to try. (Which didn't work, btw..... :-( ) Don't think this is some major scam to help me win-- get real. I'm dead either way, but I'd rather think that I was "playing" rather than "staying." And, knowing such, I wanted you two to know the facts to plan correctly. Because you won't get 20 turns to elaborately fight each other. You'll get about 5, because I've only got 23 armies for him to kill! (That's 23 in 9 cities. I like it better as 8 in 3 cities-- thus, who gets the other 6?!? Do the math-- that would give him 19, with only 3/4 on a border you could touch . You guys would HAVE to work together then-- so why wait?) So-- I'll be sending the turn soon. But Mike goes next, and it's up to him to propose any "changes". REM: ARun won't keep vectoring everything towards me. Because soon he won't need to..... He already has nearly the same number of armies as me on my border-- but only in TWo cities. Oh well...... When does the NEXT game start? I want to try that strategy again, until it WORKS! "Crap." :*) Max _______________________________________________________________________________ The following message was sent on Thursday November 13, 1997 at 01:06 PM EST by MTMGsMax@aol.com to all players; Hey all: Well, couldn't get the AT& T account to sign on. (Kept coming up with some strange "netscape" error ?) So-- I've swapped to 3.0, thinking that maybe AOL is pathetic enough to give the 3.0 users better treatment than the 2.7 people? {And, for those who wonder, I use the 2.7 as it allows me to do WarBOT, AOL, and the game simultaneously. Great for turn reports, etc. 3.0 "quits" unexpectedly, the minute you try the Finder. Annoying...} Okay, here it is: Turn 7, Orange Athletes: {Gyro Captain is illiterate.} Beginning: 9 cities, 167 gold, 200 inc, 153 exp. 1) Gyro Captain makes Amazon. 2) Build of Lt infants (-160) purchased in Rome. Final: 9 cities, 7 gp, 200 inc, 153 exp. DIPLOMACY: Well, I took the last two hours to look at the game..... AND, I take back a lot of what I said in the Diplomacy message. (The INTENT is still there-- the actuality, much less so.) Mike is no longer in position to do much against White, and probably shouldn't anyway. (Seems Denis got you good, but at least you have more armies to recover with. :-) ) I intentionally spent this timeout/extra day thinking. I've tried various moves, positions of armies, etc, and Arun hasn't fallen for any of it. Thus, this turn I decided not to press my luck. Or, waste my time trying 20 different configurations of the WarBOT, hoping and I'll manage to survive. Too often, there were just too many things he could do instead, that I thought of off the top of my head. Surely then, he'd think of them and I'd just be bailing water in a new leak. Thus, I punted from the offense this turn, and have started working on "the defense." Depressing, but deserved. Arun found the achilles heel of my grand strategy-- I couldn't afford to be attacked early. The death of my hero has just compounded the problem. Not from the lack of hero, as it was a trade, but because now HE has the flight item (after all those early-turn sacrifices and near-misses with his Archon to get the bugger.) To Orange, cheer up! Things ain't that bad. I will not attack you until turn 15 as promised (and even perhaps later then that, if you are still with us that is). To Green, well, both your message and MadMax's message made me think a lot. I realize why you guys would have just waited and I am ready to believe that indeed you would have be content with your starting cities for a while. I should have stayed put for a while longer. I am a big enough man to admit a mistake, are you a big enough man to control your lust your vengeance? We'll see. Although, I still have to treat you as hostile, I see a real mutual value in a truce. I had to move my armies the way I did just in case you decide to remain at war. That is also why I had to defeat your dragon. My position would have been too weak otherwise. Mind you that a lost a valuable Giant Worm in this battle. So, in a word, I had to attack you in case we remain at war. I did not have a choice. Here is what I propose. On turn 7 (already done), I vacate one of the conquered cities and vector away the production in progress. On turn 8, from you, you do NOT take Dublin. You take the vacated city. >From me, I vacate the other conquered city. On turn 9, from you, you take the vacated city. You gain a spider production instead of a light infantry (if I remember correctly). We agree to not attack each other until turn 15. Is this acceptable? The longer we are at war, the easier it will be for White in the last few turn of this contest. In the end, you may even end up with more cities then I, but what is 6 cities against 4 cities remaining... I'd rather we both kept 11 cities. I expect that if he wants to break it right now, in his mind he is willing to fight me and justify it by his claim that I never formally accepted a peace offer. Of course, it is also equally amusing that you "back" him in this idea of me not agreeing to any treaty. The past archives are there. Check them out. These are very low hits from a cat in a corner. When I die, I will not break promises or allow such....I will fight till the end. Of course, few have such will and courage, even if this is "just" a game. Blue: The fact remains that I proposed a treaty with you, and you agreed based on an assumption that I do not provoke you. You have not stated your provocation, and now you have stated that we have not agreed upon a treaty. These actions of yours are not clever; they are slippery. So now I wish to determine exactly whether we have a treaty or not. I do not need weak affirmations..I want a yes or a no.
