Subject: W2WT: Helpful Tips

Hi all -

Here are a few helpful tips for those of you taking your first move:

(1) To send the gamefile to the Remailer, you actually type "gamefile"
into the Subject. (Yes, the real game name and the real password,
but *not* the name of the gamefile!)

So if you are in game P00 with password "hypothetical", then you send:

	Subject: P00, hypothetical, gamefile

(2) For heroes attacking scouts in neutral cities, you don't need to
use WarBOT. Anything except a bat or a scout will take a neutral city,
so just write "Light cav. takes neutral city Athens" or whatever.

(3) You can (and should!) delete any part of the turn report template
that you don't actually use, to make the final report as easy to read
as possible. You can also role-play a story. (Half of the
prizes will be for writing fun turn reports and half for being good
at winning.) To see more examples, visit the Remailer
(http://www.pixgen.com/elam/warlords/Edit.cgi) and look at other games.
(You don't need a password to look at Practice Round game history files.)
You can get any game history file by email using the "history" command,
putting in anything for the password. To read about the exploits
of Flash Gordon in P44 (a hypothetical game), you might send in:

	Subject: P44, IdontNeedaStinkingPassword, history

(the password can be anything, but there should be something there
or the Remailer may not parse the subject line properly.)

If you write a story, be sure to put a summary of the essential
details at the end; it makes it easier for others to look things up later.

Hope this helps! As we get all the games moving along in Turn 1,
I'll send out the second official Rules Tutorial.
