Mythtec Scenario Description

Copy the file mythtec.szp to your warlord2 directory and use
the command: ADDSCEN mythtec[RETURN]. This will create a
scenario called MYTHTEC and add an army set and city set called
AZTECS.

I created this scenario primarily to play the AZTECS army and
city set with a random map. The army set has been extensively
playtested and provides for interesting play. The MYTHTEC scenario
was then added. This scenario is a very loose (quite loose)
interpretation of history, since the different Central American
civilizations portrayed actually existed during a variety of time
periods. I chose four Mayan sides: Tikal, Panenque, Copan and
Chichen Itza, and four non-Mayan sides: Olmecs, Toltecs, Zapotecs,
and Aztecs. I orginally used the mud terrain set, but switched it to
grassland because I could not edit the little pig temples . I only
did 5-10 names for each side. Coming up with 800 names is a bit
much.

Notes on several of the Army units:

Chichimec: These represent northern tribal warriors who
were very good with a bow.

Quachic: These are veteran warriors.

Apprentice: They are nobles and warriors in training.

Knights: These represent a variety of different knight
  classes of lesser orders.

Jaguar and Eagle Knights: These are the highest knight
classes and are considered elite troops.

Knight Captain: These are commanders of knight units and
  provide special bonuses.

Conqueror: Represents a Spanish Conquistador. The minus
to enemy stack represents the unease caused by horses and the
  armor protection of the conquistadors.

Otomi: These were fierce mercenaries used by a variety
of nations. I have given them a +1 in cities, making them good
  shock troops and guards.

Eagle: This is your standard "bat-like" scout. The one
hitch is that I made it take 2 turns to produce. I made this
penalty to give someone a reason to build a scout. During play
however, I found that it is still advantageous to build these
because of the high movement rate.

Queztal: This bird was highly prized for its feathers and
was considered sacred by the Mayas and Aztecs. Because of this, I
have given it the ability to cancel the hero bonus.

Quezacoatl: He has several manifestations. I decided to
choose the plumed serpent. He is most similar to a dragon from
the default set and is the most powerful unit.

Enough Rambling.... I hope you enjoy this scenario and the
army and city sets as much as I enjoyed creating them.
