Stiltman's PC-Classic Scenario Web Text Warlords II (original) Scenarios Arghan: The homeworld of the characters depicted in my fantasy short story writing is drawn up nicely in this map. Unfortunately, the map is about as unbalanced as the world in the stories might warrant, and as a result this will very likely turn to the advantage of any competent player playing the side of Arcania Dorval. Other sides include the Fellowship of Wizards, the corrupt Eldakkar Loon, and the fanatical crusaders of Mithras. It makes an interesting scenario for playing one-player "I Am The Greatest!" challenges. The Fellowship, the Eldakkar Loon, and Mithras all have a shot at it, but if you're playing multi-player, you shouldn't have a human playing Arcania unless you want the rest of the people to be at a handicap. Yar: The world has gone into an ice age as a volcanic island surfaces in the center of the ocean around which the map is drawn. The ruler of this island is the carnal and wicked Succubus Queen, risen from the hells to bring an invasion into the world. Other powers, such as the Lord of the Darkbringers (complete with numerous puns from my entity of the same name described in RoboWar), the Rock Giants of the south, the Urcsome domain of misguided and mad road-builders, and the financial giant known as the Yarian Empire, for which the scenario is named, react to the hellish invasion with their own schemes for power. This is one of my favorite scenarios for multi-player going, because it is extremely well-balanced: about six or seven of the eight players have a very good shot at winning this game. Frigid Flames: Another world from my fascination with frozen planets. This time, the cause of frigidity is different. This world never had a sun, and was lit instead by the light of the Eternal Flame. Guarded by the noble Archon Lords, this great beacon gave light to the world. But one half-Archon sorcerer, denied the full power of the lordship, turned instead to dark sorcery and alliance with the cruel Ice Demons who sought the Flame's extinguishing. Bringing the Ice Demons into the world, this sorcerer betrayed his heritage and capped the Flame, plunging the world into an ice age of its own. Declaring himself Lord Icewind, ruler of all, he holds power with an iron fist, Ice Demon allies, and corrupted D'Archon warriors. The Archon Lords are forced into exile, and other powers, including a rebel faction of Ice Demons seeking power for themselves, a nation of Dragonlords, and a horde of Devil Kings who fear the ascension of the Ice Demons, all plot to topple Lord Icewind from his throne in the middle of the island nation and seize power for themselves. Ogre: a world based largely upon the map and cities of the Europa scenario already distributed in the scenario builder itself, but with a few little tweaks. Some new units change the way the scenario is played very much, with an emphasis on the defense satellites and Ogre super-tanks. This scenario is based laregly upon the sci-fi board game of the same name, and might prove interesting to enthusiasts of that particular pasttime.
