Advanced Tactics - Special Creatures

- See info on stack construction in the Rules of
Engagement Docs page. See also the Combat Bonuses page.
- Ally units found in ruins or received as quest rewards have no upkeep cost.
Ally units with relatively weak bonuses and little speed can nonetheless
be very valuable as defensive garrisons, since they need little support
and your regular troops (which *do* cost money) are then free to
go on offense (where they can get killed and stop costing money).
(Paraphrased from contribution by Dirk Pellett.)
- Some of these tips are obvious, but... don't put two of the same type
of ally in one stack, if there's another stack nearby that can use the
bonus that ally provides. There's nothing more ridiculous than a stack
of 8 pegasi, sucking down the gold, while 8 other stacks wander without
guidance. (Contrib. by Dirk Pellett.)
- Any other new ideas anyone?
